2026 OHD Volunteer Sign Up
This is a free public event rain or shine. Volunteer positions are mostly out-of-doors and require standing or walking during the entire shift. Some may require moderate lifting.
We welcome students over 16 who are looking for community service projects and hours. Students under 18 need to have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
If you sponsor a large community group with volunteers please contact the OHD Executive Director.
Volunteers will receive a free shirt and name badge.

Olympia Harbor Days Volunteer Job Descriptions 2026
Docks: Help with welcoming boaters and securing the docks when they go out to race!
Vendor Check-in Booth: Check vendors in, collect phone numbers, and assign parking spaces from provided list.
Vendor Setup (August 28th 8:00am-5:00pm): Help vendors unload and find vendor spaces.
Percival Park Stage / Entertainment Support: Help entertainers locate the stage, man the welcoming booth for entertainers, offer water to them and our sound techs.
Festival Area Volunteer Committee: Oversee assigned festival areas, help the public locate attractions within the festival, report anything that needs the director's attention to the director. You will be assigned to either Area 1 (4th Ave corner), Area 2 (Percival Park), or Area 3 (Port Plaza).
Port Plaza Stage/Entertainment Committee: Welcome entertainers locate stage, parking, & man our information tent.
Treasure Hunt Committee: We are looking for someone to help manage this project with our Executive Director. Help set up, help create and build a team for our kids’ treasure hunt.
Photo Contest Committee: We are looking for someone to manage this whole project from the ground up with our Executive Director! We will be building forms, creating advertisements, sharing out on social media, and building a committee!
Smoke & Saw Dust Wood Carving Comp. Committee: Help with social media ads, build jury pool and prizes, help carvers onsite finding their locations, and posting directional signs.
Sponsorship Drive Committee: Help with outreach for sponsorship opportunities. We will be hosting Sponsorship Drive Gala this April!
Spring Fling Gala 2026 Committee!: Help raise funds in a fun way by working on all aspect of our Gala with our Executive Director. Tentative date of April 17, 2026.
